 Three Crazy-Good, Super-Easy Dipping Sauces for Sweet Potato Fries

Who loves sweet potato fries? We all love sweet potato fries! Especially with a simple, special dipping sauce. We’ve got three here to choose from—Sweet-Spicy Ketchup, Garlicky Ranch Dressing, and Lemon Pesto Aioli. Each comes together in about 10 minutes or less, and they’re all killer with crispy, crunchy, slightly sweet sweet potato fries. Try them all!

Makes about 1 cup

 

 

Ingredients

Sweet-Spicy Ketchup

1 Cup ketchup
1/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon molasses
1/8 Teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 Teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1/8 Teaspoon salt, or more to taste

Garlicky Ranch Dressing

3/4 Cup sour cream
2 Ounces cream cheese
1/4 Cup fresh parsley leaves
1 Tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh dill
3 cloves garlic
2 Teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 Teaspoon honey
1/2 Teaspoon pepper, or more to taste
1/4 Teaspoon salt, or more to taste

Lemon Pesto Aioli

1 lemon
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
1/2 Cup prepared pesto
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 Teaspoon salt, or more to taste

Sweet-Spicy Ketchup

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the ketchup, sugar, molasses, cloves, cayenne pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes.

  2. Set aside to cool to room temperature. Add more salt and/or cayenne to taste before serving.

Garlicky Ranch Dressing

  1. In the bowl of a food processor, combine the sour cream, cream cheese, parsley, dill, garlic, lemon juice, honey, pepper, and salt and process until smooth. Add more salt and pepper to taste.

Lemon Pesto Aioli

  1. Zest the lemon into a medium bowl. Squeeze the lemon to yield 1 tablespoon of juice, adding it to the bowl. Add the mayonnaise, pesto, garlic, and salt. Add  more salt and lemon juice to taste.
